The preservation of glaciers stands as one of humanity's most urgent challenges. These ancient ice formations are not just frozen water – they are the guardians of our planet's climate history, the source of life for billions, and sacred places for many cultures. Their rapid disappearance is a stark reminder that we must act now.

Alpine camouflage body-painting photography and film series 2015- 2035

The Alpine photography and body-painting series commenced in 2015 in the Italian and Austrian Alps (South Tyrol), with a primary focus on melting glaciers, national parks, and environmental protection issues. This long-term project by artist Vilija Vitkute highlights how the landscapes of glaciers dramatically transform over the years. By juxtaposing the melting human body with the disappearing glaciers, the artist finds poignant ways to portray these pressing global crises

"THE MOON PRINCESS HOME"

Inspired by Dolomites legends - The silvery moon coloured mountains I was given a wonderful opportunity to come back to those magical landscapes together with my friend Claudia, where our passion for nature, creativity and adventure gathers.
